Caabu delegate asks PM about forced eviction in East Jerusalem and illegal settlements
A Caabu and Medical Aid for Palestinians Parliamentary delegation has just returned from Palestine after a five day visit from 15 – 19 February 2016. It was assisted by Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East (LFPME). The delegation of Parliamentarians included Lord Stewart Wood, former foreign policy adviser to both Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband, Shadow Minister for Human Rights Andy Slaughter, Shadow Minister for International Development Imran Hussain, Richard Burgon MP, Andy McDonald MP and Wes Streeting MP.
Child participation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories
Caabu would like to invite members to a briefing on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, looking into child participation in the territories, with a focus on the ongoing "new Intifada". Nasser Atallah, the MENA Regional Director of the Child Rights International Network (CRIN), will also discuss the broader issue of why children and youth are joining IS.

In an article in the Daily Telegraph on Friday 12 February, Caabu Director, Chris Doyle argues that the latest agreement in Syria that calls for a cessation of hostilities within a week sadly will not deliver.
The British Government has responded to Written Questions from Labour MP and Chair of the Britain-Palestine All Party Parliamentary Group, Richard Burden about Israel's demolition of 22 Palestinian homes in the South Hebron Hills on 2 February 2016. Caabu will be pressing the Government to provide a fuller response following a response from UNOCHA.
Caabu has written a letter to Airbnb's Head of Policy for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada about its policy of listing properties within illegal Israeli settlements. They are marketed as being inside the State of Israel.
