Caabu: Bahraini government must release jailed medics

Caabu condemns the decision by a Bahraini military court to sentence 20 medical professionals to jail terms of up to 15 years, and calls for their immediate pardon and release.

On 21 November, Caabu hosted a briefing with representatives from the research team behind On Our Land; a project documenting the cultural heritage of the South Hebron Hills. The project seeks to preserve this heritage from the impact of Israeli occupation, through a series of interviews between youth researchers and older generations.

With the Syrian economy smashed and civilians suffering severe depredations, why is there so little public debate on the sanctions on Syria? Outside a narrow circle of academics and policy wonks, nobody is discussing this or asking how the various sanctions could be modified to help those most in need.
