The Britain-Palestine All Party Parliamentary Group and Julie Elliott MP hosted an online briefing on Monday 25 January for British parliamentarians to discuss a recent report by three Israeli human rights organisations on military invasions of Palestinian homes in the West Bank. The APPG was joined by representatives from the three organisations; Ziv Stahl, the director of the Research Department at Yesh Din, Mourad Jadallah, a Yesh Din field researcher from East Jerusalem, Avner Gvaryahu, Executive Director of Breaking the Silence and Dana Moss, international advocacy coordinator at Physicians for Human Rights Israel. Opening statements from the briefing can be watched here:

The report, A Life Exposed: Military invasions of Palestinian homes in the West Bank, published in November 2020 by Breaking the Silence, Physicans for Human Rights Israel and Yesh Din, documents the violation of the dignity and privacy of Palestinian families and communities and the extremely harmful effect on the mental health that these night-time forced home invasions by Israeli soldiers into Palestinian homes in the West Bank have. The report - the product of two years of intensive work, and including over 150 testimonies from men and women who have experienced these invasions, as well as testimonies from the soldiers who carried out them out. The report also highlights the extremely broad powers to intrude into these homes that Israeli security forces have, without needing any concrete suspicions or warrants and no judicial oversight, while Palestinians have no protection against arbitrary and unjustified invasions.
