For Ramadan 2026, Caabu is launching a major appeal to support our advocacy for Palestinian rights and our Lebanon and Syria programmes.

At this critical moment, we are demanding that the British government uphold international law and pursue genuine conflict resolution across the Middle East.

US-Israeli War on Iran and Lebanon

Caabu has vigorously pushed for the UK to say out of the US-Israeli war on Iran, and helped insure the UK did not participate in the offensive action. Our Chair Rt Hon Alistair Carmichael MP spoke out against it in the House of Commons. Chris Doyle has given a host of interviews on the issues involved.  Caabu also arranged for a major briefing on the impct of the war in Parliament attended by around 40 Parliamentarians.

Turning recognition into action

After years of advocacy, Caabu helped secure UK recognition of the State of Palestine. Our work now focuses on ensuring this recognition leads to real change. We continue to press Ministers and Select Committees to translate recognition into concrete political and economic measures.

The Settlement Ban

We helped secure limited sanctions on settler groups but they are far from enough to deter Israel’s accelerating settlement expansion and the violence faced by Palestinian communities. Caabu is working alongside organisations including Oxfam, Christian Aid and Amnesty International to press the UK government to introduce a full ban on trade with illegal settlements and end economic activity linked to the occupation.

Opening Gaza

Caabu is also working with humanitarian agencies to ensure that aid and reconstruction materials can enter Gaza without Israeli restrictions. Israel must grant full and unhindered access for aid organisations as well as international journalists, diplomats and human rights monitors so that what happens in Gaza can be properly documented.

Syria and Lebanon Programmes

Our Lebanon and Syria programmes remain active, including our role as Secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Syria Group. In October 2025 we led a Parliamentary delegation to Lebanon and have continued to press the UK government to address violations of Lebanese and Syrian sovereignty and support long-term peace and stability in the region. Chris Doyle, our Director, appeared in front of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee to discuss trends in both countries.

Caabu has not slowed its work for a moment. Since the announcement of the Trump plan and the Gaza Board of Peace, we have intensified our efforts to ensure the UK government holds Israel accountable and supports Palestinian rights. But we need your support more than ever to push the UK government to take meaningful action to end the ongoing genocide and system of apartheid.

This work is only possible because of the generosity of our supporters.

Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Caabu Patron, said:

“Ramadan is a time of generosity, reflection, and solidarity. As we fast and pray, we are reminded of our duty to support those struggling for justice and basic human rights. Your Sadaqa can help ensure that Palestine remains a priority in British politics, media, and public discourse.”

Sir Alan Duncan, former Minister and Caabu Patron, added:

“Caabu has long been at the forefront of advocating for Palestinian rights in the UK, challenging misinformation and engaging politicians and journalists to hold decision-makers accountable.”

Tragically, the genocide in Gaza continues. There is a ceasefire in name, only. Israel has killed more than 600 people since 10 October 2025. The Trump 20-point plan risks entrenching Israeli control further, leaving Israel directly running 60% of the Gaza Strip.

Your donation directly supports research-based advocacy that influences policy, strengthens public engagement, and challenges prejudice and misinformation.
