Caabu Ramadan Appeal 2025 - please support our vital advocacy work
For Ramadan 2025, Caabu is launching a major appeal for support for our advocacy work on Palestinian rights. This comes at a time of British complicity in Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, and the failure to tackle Israel's system of apartheid. Our work presses for proper accountability for these crimes and for Britain to address the deep underlying issues that have led to the genocide in Gaza.
Caabu needs your support with our vital advocacy efforts, some of which include:
- Building on our professional engagement with Ministers and politicians of all parties.
- Taking Parliamentary delegations out to Palestine, Lebanon and Syria- read about some of our previous delegations with politicians here.
- Providing expert oral and written briefings to politicians including for debates and statements in the Chamber.
- Campaigning with global civil society organisations to end UK exporting arms to Israel.
- Tackling the woeful coverage of the BBC on Israel-Palestine- see Caabu Director Chris Doyle's piece for Middle East Eye here on how "the BBC has lost any semblance of a spine on Israel" following its recent removal of a documentary narrated by children in Gaza.
- Read our latest submission to the Foreign Affairs Select Committee on Israel-Palestine here.
- Caabu has also carried a series of ground breaking opinion polls including looking at UK public opinion on the situation in Gaza - our latest poll is here - historic polling can be seen here.
We rely almost exclusively on the goodwill of our members and supporters. Making a donation will help us to influence policy, promote public engagement and fight prejudice, ignorance and fear.
Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Caabu Patron said:
“Ramadan is a time of generosity, reflection, and solidarity. As we fast and pray, we are reminded of our duty to support those struggling for justice and basic human rights. Your Sadaqa can help us in ensuring that Palestine remains a priority in British politics, media, and public discourse. By giving during this blessed month, you amplify the voices calling for justice and lasting change”.
This Ramadan, let your Sadaqa help bring about an end to genocide, ethnic cleansing and hold those responsible to account.
Sir Alan Duncan, Former Minister, Caabu Patron reiterated:
“Caabu has been at the forefront of advocating for Palestinian rights in the UK, challenging misinformation, and actively engaging politicians and journalists towards holding decision-makers accountable. Together, we are shifting the conversation, and making sure that truth and justice prevail”.
Your donation directly funds research-backed advocacy that strengthens our Palestine mission. Help us to influence policy, promote public engagement and fight prejudice, ignorance and fear.
This Ramadan, let your Sadaqa be a force for justice—help us continue this vital work and stand with Palestine. Give today and make a lasting impact.
