Caabu invites you to an online briefing on Tuesday 6 July at 2pm (UK time) on climate change in the Middle East, an overview of regional impacts and responses with Dr. Michael Mason, Director of the Middle East Centre and Associate Professor of Geography and the Environment at the London School of Economics (LSE) . Register, here.
Caabu is seeking to focus attention on the issue of climate change and the environment in the Middle East, not least as the UK will be hosting the UN climate change conference (COP26) later this year. Increasingly climate change is impacting life in the Middle East in more drastic fashion. Environmental issues have risen up the agenda and even figured in major protests in countries such as Lebanon and Iraq. This will be the first of a series of sessions Caabu plans to organise on these issues.
