Bashing Muslims to win votes has to stop to defeat ISIS
Caabu is deeply disturbed at the alarming trend of bashing Muslims for electoral gain. The most obvious example is the Republican candidate Donald Trump (See article by Caabu Director, Chris Doyle - Trump’s Muslim hatred about winning votes, not policy) but he has not been the only one.
Nearly all the Republic candidates in the U.S. have done so. In France the Front National has come first in the regional elections. The former Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott has called for the West to “proclaim superiority over Islam.” UKIP candidates in the UK have also done so (see blog by Caabu’s Joseph Willits)
All such anti-Muslim statements have serious repercussions. As the Pentagon has acknowledged, they tend to reinforce the ISIS narrative and “endangers US national security.”
