Attacks on Arabs - Independent

Sir, There are increasing signs of abuse and attacks directed against Arabs and Muslims not just in the United States, but also now in the United Kingdom. There is a responsibility on the part of the authorities to provide all protection necessary but, also public figures must make all efforts to emphasise the need not to denigrate Arabs and Muslims as a whole. Most Arabs and Muslims are horrified at the bombings in the US and should not be accountable if an extremist organisation maybe from the Arab or Islamic world.
