Anti-Islamic views
Published in The Independent Sir, Given the outrageous extremist anti-Islamic views of Steve Moxon, the Home Office whistleblower, one has to question the vetting procedures at the Home Office that allowed a man who advocates using nuclear weapons against Muslims to be employed to deal with immigration issues. It underlines yet again the widespread anti-Muslim and indeed anti-Arab sentiments. The examples are legion, from Robert Kilroy-Silk's ignorant rant to the British National Party which still has on its website an article claiming "Islam is the menace". Recently the Deputy Israeli Defence Minister, Ze'ev Boim asked: "What is it about Islam as a whole and the Palestinians in particular? Is it some form of cultural deprivation? Is it some genetic defect? There is something that defies explanation in this continued murderousness." Yet I have not seen one newspaper article report this. Instead there are ever-increasing numbers of articles exclusively complaining of a rise in anti-Semitism.
