DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Syrian Minister of Information Muhsen Bilal conferred Wednesday with Director of the Council for British-Arab Understanding Chris Doyle on means of boosting dialogue between the Arab and British people in order to find common understanding over what is going on in the Middle East.

During the Meeting, Minister Bilal underlined the important role of Arab media and other institutions concerned with dialogue of culture in narrowing the gap between the two peoples' viewpoints and conveying the real image of the Arab- Israeli conflict.

Doyle, for his part, said that the British public opinion sympathizes with Arab issues, but more efforts should be exerted to reinforce this feeling through exchanging dialogues and visits, adding that everyone visits Syria takes a good impression of it.
