Chris Doyle interviewed on massacres in Syria and Israeli strike

In an interview with Channel 4 news on Saturday 4 May about the crisis in Syria, Caabu Director Chris Doyle warned that “the dangers of an escalation in the region are ever-present, and they get worse with every day of this crisis.”

Doyle also commented on the awful massacres on the Syrian coast in and around the port of Baniyas. “The regime’s hold on the coast is not totally secure – there are fears that there is a fight to come. Some Syrians argue that this is like a pre-emptive strike to empty some of these areas out of those who do not agree with the regime.”

In another interview on ITN News on the same day, Doyle was asked if this amounted to ethnic cleansing. Responding he said, “The way it is going, the levels of massacres and destruction, and the way that they (Regime forces) have escalated for the duration of these two years I think we could see some really horrific events beyond even what we have seen now.“
