Legacies
Since 1967 our sole source of income has been from donations and this continues to be the case. Given current events in the Middle East and the climate of increasingly negative Arab stereotypes, our work is more vital than ever.
At present, Caabu is a small organisation that punches well above its weight. With more staff resources we would be able to expand our activities significantly, be able to respond to events quicker and make more impact than we currently do.
By leaving a legacy in your will you are leaving a gift of a lifetime. Your support can make a difference. It is an opportunity to do something positive in your lifetime to make an invaluable contribution to our work in the future. So please consider Caabu when you decide who you would like to benefit from your Will.
There are several ways you can support Caabu in your Will:
Pecuniary
You can gift Caabu a fixed sum of money.
Residual
After making provision for your family and friends, you could leave a proportion of your estate to Caabu.
Reversionary
This is left to the descendent but reverts to Caabu after their death.
What next?
We recommend that you visit a solicitor to make your Will or amend your existing Will. If you simply want to add on a legacy, this could be done by drawing up a Codicil, which is then kept with the original copy of your will.
Let us know
You do not have to let us know if you have left Caabu a legacy in your will, although we would appreciate it if you can. By doing so it gives us an indication of future support and helps us plan for the future.
You can advise us by completing the attached form and returning it to us or send us an email and let us know of your intentions. Any information you do give will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Thank you, for your generous support.
