Chris Doyle Chris is the Director of CAABU. He has worked with the Council since 1993 after graduating with a first class honours degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Exeter University. As part of this course he spent a year in Alexandria. Since then he has travelled widely in the Middle East and North Africa. In 1996 Chris moved to work for a professional government relations firm but returned to a more senior role at CAABU in 1997. In November 2002, he was made full-time Director. |
Parliamentary/ Information Officer |
Gillian Watt Gillian Watt is one of CAABU's Information officers and is currently responsible for our Parliamentary work. She graduated from St Andrews University in June 1999 with a 2:1 MA Honours in Arabic and International Relations. She went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in Information Technology from St Andrews University in April 2000 which included a work placement with the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. Gillian also spent time studying Palestinian history and politics at Birzeit University in the West Bank, as part of the Palestine Arabic Studies (PAS) summer programme in 1998. She also an Executive Commitee member of Friends of Birzeit University (FOBZU). |
Education/Information Officer |
Naira Antoun Naira Antoun is the Information and Education officer for CAABU. Her responsibilities include running the Education Programme and visiting schools and colleges to give talks on various matters connected to the Middle East, as well as conducting student campaign workshops and producing educational materials. |
