Education Officer (full-time)

Our education programme is one of our proudest achievements. Working mainly with GCSE and A-Level students across the UK, we deliver around 100 talks and workshops every year to encourage critical exploration and engagement with the Arab world and Arab-British communities in UK schools.

CAABU is in the process of expanding its education work and we are expecting the role of Education Officer to become part of a much larger programme.

You will need a good working knowledge of the Arab world, with a degree in politics/international affairs or a related subject. Some experience of either living or travelling in the region is also desirable.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. Given the size of our operation, we are looking for someone who is flexible and a good team worker.

At least 3-4 years experience in a similar position is desirable and IT skills to at least intermediate level are essential (Word/Excel/Access/Outlook).

Office hours:          9.30 am/5.30 pm

Starting salary:      £25-30,000 pa (depending on experience)
