CAABU is firmly regarded in British parliament as a credible and effective organisation. We engage with the British government and parliamentarians on key issues affecting UK-Arab relations and the British-Arab communities by:

• Maintaining a tailored membership scheme for parliamentarians, providing them with the latest information and specialised briefings via email bulletins

• Taking politicians on cross-party delegations to the region and helping to arrange meetings on topical issues with experts on and from the region

• Hosting a range of fringe events at the main party conferences

• Acting as official secretariat to the Britain-Palestine APPG and the Britain-Qatar APPG and being actively involved with a number of other All Party Groups

• Encouraging members to lobby their MPs on key issues, to write to them and ask them to sign relevant EDMs and take part in our lobby days in Parliament

• Monitoring and collating relevant UK Government statements, Parliamentary debates, questions, Select Committee Reports and speeches by MPs and Peers to keep up-to-date with party policies and provide a useful tool for lobbyists.
