Dealing with the media remains one of the most effective ways of transmitting CAABU's messages and is a crucial aspect of our work. We have been very active in the media over the past five years:
  • Monitoring media coverage and sending out a daily broadsheet digest to an email list of over 7000 people, including researchers, diplomats, academics and campaigners

  • Providing expert commentators to a variety of UK and Arab media outlets, giving interviews on major broadcasting networks and publishing letters in leading newspapers

  • Running training workshops to enhance the media skills of commentators invited onto television and radio to put across an Arab perspective

  • Encouraging CAABU members to write to newspapers, challenging inaccurate or biased articles but also offering praise for fair and balanced reporting.
